Who We Are

The Brainiest team is comprised of marketing and engineering professionals with careers spent analyzing how technology affects business processes and everyday life. We’ve been at the forefront of the development of innovative solutions that apply technology to improve real-world experiences, from Intel’s first 32-bit microprocessor, to big data systems, to marketing AI. We don’t develop technology for the sake of having more technology.

Brainiest harnesses AI to pull out the inner marketing genius inside every business owner and marketer.

Rather than replacing humans, we believe in helping small and midsized business marketers unlock their full potential.

Our Story

Brainiest is a concept born over lunch at a Cheesecake Factory in Arizona, as most great ideas are.

Longtime friends, marketing professionals, and former Intel colleagues Alan Steinberg and Mike McGowan met to discuss the emergence of AI. Mike, who was already providing machine learning consulting services in medicine, real estate, and other sectors, had an idea for an AI platform that could generate marketing content for small and midsize businesses.

The Challenge

Historically, everyday businesspeople not only struggled with the time required for endless creative revisions and fine tuning, but they couldn’t keep up with the need for additional updates when market conditions changed. Sales could change their pitch on the fly, but marketing content and strategy lagged behind.

AI promised to be a game changer, but Mike’s clients grew frustrated by the generic results being produced by ChatGPT and unrealistic expectations created by early AI players. Users were led to believe simply typing a couple sentences into a white box would deliver the world, but AI under delivered. It could only generate usable content if the user had significant training in prompt engineering.

The Smarter Solution

Alan and Mike got in touch with Scott Goble, another fellow Intel alum, and started the development process. The vision was to create an AI platform capable of generating valuable results by guiding small and midsized business users through the marketing consulting process.

Instead of forcing users to spend hours on trial-and-error prompting, they would create an AI platform displaying the same questions an experienced marketing consultant would ask during a discovery meeting. The answers would provide AI with the information required to produce high quality results on the first pass.

What started as a tool with a handful of purpose-built applications has quickly grown into a full toolkit with dozens of generative, strategic, and analytic applets, each designed to perform a specific marketing function.

We call it Brainiest because it’s the smart way to optimize day-to-day processes with exceptional results.
